MindsetBuilding a Team
Attract, Don't Recruit
The best agents in your market aren't answering recruiting pitches. They're watching. How you treat your people, what you post, who's winning on your team. You don't talk them into joining. You build something they can't stop looking at.
Stop selling, start building
- Recognize your people in public, by name, every week. The agent you want is watching you celebrate someone else and thinking 'my leader never does that for me.'
- Show the work, not the pitch. Post the training, the wins, the culture. Let them experience what it's like to be led by you before they ever join.
- Be the destination, not the chaser. 'If anything ever changes, I'd love to be the first call you make.' Then go back to building.
Make a deposit before you ask
- Give value with nothing attached. A tip, a resource, a genuine congratulations on their closing.
- Most of the agents you want aren't thinking about moving today. You're not closing them, you're planting.
Nobody great joins because you sold them hard. They join because they watched you long enough to trust you. Recruiting is an inside job. Fix what they'd see before you ask them to look.
Do This Week
This week, publicly recognize three people on your team by name, and send one agent you'd love to hire a genuine congratulations on a recent win. No pitch. Just the deposit.
You don't talk great agents into joining. You build something they don't want to be left out of.
